A Mediterranean wrap usually consists of a blend of foods influenced by the region’s cuisine, which is well-known for its usage of feta cheese, fresh vegetables, olives, hummus, and other herbs and spices. Here’s a basic Mediterranean wrap recipe:

Ingredients;

  • Tortilla wraps or flatbread
  • Hummus
  • Tzatziki sauce (optional)
  • Grilled or roasted chicken, or falafel for a vegetarian option
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • Kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
  • Feta cheese, crumbled
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make;

  • If using chicken, cook it through on a grill or in a roaster. Add salt, pepper, and any preferred Mediterranean herbs for seasoning. If falafel is being used, prepare as directed on the box.
  • Place a flatbread or tortilla on a clean surface. Put some hummus in the middle of the wrapper. If preferred, top with a coating of tzatziki sauce.
  • Put the falafel or grilled or roasted chicken in the center. On top, arrange the cucumber slices, red onion, feta cheese crumbles, Kalamata olives, and cherry tomatoes.
  • Drizzle the fillings with olive oil. Add salt, pepper, and fresh parsley to taste.
  • To make a wrap, fold the tortilla in half, then roll it securely.
  • To make handling the wrapper easier, cut it in half diagonally. You may pack it for a portable supper or serve it right away after wrapping it in foil or parchment paper.

Feel free to change the ingredients to suit your tastes. You can add ingredients like spinach, artichoke hearts, or roasted red pepper ingredients for extra taste and nutrition. Enjoy your Mediterranean wrap!
