A new study sows that you only need 5 servings (that’s eating apples, banana in the morning, in the  afternoon you eat  lettuce, leafy greens and carrots;  in the evening you can added berries and other colorful fruits.) to live longer.

Eating these on a daily basis lowers your risk of heart diseases, stroke, Cancer and other respiratory diseases.

The study shows that not all fruits and vegetables were protective. Green leafy vegetables (such as spinach, lettuce and kale) and fruits and vegetables rich in beta carotene and vitamin C (such as citrus fruits, berries and carrots) were beneficial, but starchy vegetables such as peas and corn, fruit juices and potatoes were not associated with lower risk of death from all causes or certain chronic diseases.

You can set a reminder on your phone so that you don’t miss out on the goodness from eating 5 servings of fruits and veggies everyday.
